If you find out that your website is not working although your internet connection is working fine and all other websites are loading. This failure of service could be because of many reasons. Please follow the steps to see why this has happened.
Step 1. Server is Down
This is the first thing you should check. An easy way to check a webserver status is to visit Alertra.com and enter your website name and click on check button. If the status is down, then place a ticket under technical support department with subject server down.
This is one of the least happening event. If the results says 'OK', that means server and services are running absolutely fine. Now where the problem is ? Please follow second step below.
Step 2.What is your IP
The basic reason of failure of service is that your IP is blocked by server. This could happen becuase of many reaons which are mentioned in 4th step. Now go to whatismyip.com and get to know your current IP adress.
Step 3. Submit a support ticket
Now visit our Support Center and submit a ticket with subject 'IP Blocked' and do mention your website name and your ip adress. Along with this information don't forget to write your cpanel username and password. Server name is important too. You must remember your server name so that we could help you quicker.
Step 4. How to avoid IP Block Issue
The basic reason of getting an IP blocked is because of login failures. Now login failure could be of either whm if you are a reseller or cpanel or ftp or webmail/outlook. Do remember, if you try to login more than 5 times in less than 300 seconds, your IP will be blocked by server due to protection.
If you have forgotton your password, you can submit a ticket to reset your password or you must wait 300 seconds after 3 tries and then try again.
